Former DIG Anura Senanayake further remanded

Former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake has been further remanded till 4th May by the Colombo High Court.
During a hearing today (27th April) the CID presented a daily log book belonging to the Police department. The pages that would have recorded the log during the date and time of Wasim Thajudeen's murder had certain pages intentionally removed.
Meanwhile, the CID stated, that they are yet to recieve 14 more witness accounts, while 25 already have provided their testimonies.
The CID further added that the investigation is receiving more information relating to the case via anonymous whistleblowers.
Furthermore, A court ruling has been passed to allow the bone fragments stored at GeneTech Sri Lanka, to be transferred to the court's custody, after an appeal made by the state counsel.
