The fuel supply will return to normal today (10), announced the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
The CPC said that distribution of fuel to filling stations island-wide commenced at 7.30 pm yesterday after the conclusion of quality check process.
The fuel tanker ‘Neveska Lady’ with a consignment of 40,000 metric tons of petrol entered Sri Lankan territorial waters on November (08).
A fuel crisis plagued the country since last Friday (03) resulting a large number of fuel stations running out of petrol and long queues as a substandard consignment of petrol was rejected.
