SLIBC bids farewell to Indonesian Ambassador
New Counsellor of Economic Affairs, Pinardi Priambodo, welcomed
SLIBC presenting a token of appreciation to the outgoing Ambassador
A farewell ceremony was recently organized by the Sri Lanka-Indonesia Business Council (SLIBC) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, for HE Harimawan Suyitno, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Sri Lanka, at the Hilton Colombo Residences.
Suyitno serves as the Patron of the Sri Lanka-Indonesia Business Council.
Delivering the welcome address, Kalinga Wijesekara, President of the SLIBC, commended the assistance extended to the SLIBC by the Indonesian Embassy, under the outgoing Ambassador. Commending the newly granted on-arrival Indonesian visa facility for Sri Lankans as the key milestone of Suyitno’s Ambassadorship, Wijesekara added that it will facilitate greater tourism and business ties between the two countries.
The new Counsellor of Economic Affairs of the Embassy of Indonesia, Pinardi Priambodo was also welcomed at the ceremony.
The event was attended by the members and past Presidents of the SLIBC, their spouses and heads of other Governmental departments.
SLIBC, which was inaugurated nearly 25 years ago under the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, promotes trade, services, tourism and joint ventures between Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
